Haze or dull water is often the first clue the balance is drifting or filtration hours are too low for the load. Chlorine that drops quickly after a normal dose can mean rising demand from organics or early algae.
After storms across the Nillumbik area, pollen and dust can overwhelm a skimmer sock in one afternoon. Brush walls, run the pump on your normal winter schedule or a little longer, and test before you guess with large chemical adds.
If the floor looks slippery or you see patches that do not vacuum cleanly, call for green pool recovery early. It is almost always quicker than waiting until the water is opaque.
